Research on Bosnian deaf education published in PubMed found that practical access to everyday communication remains severely limited despite legislative intent. Outside formal institutions, informal daily settings have no obligation and no mechanism.
Bosnia and Herzegovina has one of the oldest populations in the Western Balkans, with over 20% aged 65 and above — a cohort with high rates of acquired hearing loss.
